One of the easiest things to grill out on a warm summer day (or cold winter day works too for that matter) is marinated chicken. You can pair marinated chicken with just about anything from pasta salad to baked potatoes or throw it over a delicious, crisp salad and call it a day. Today we wanted to share our favorite and the best grilled chicken marinade on the planet, in our humble opinion, and the best news is that I’m willing to bet that you have most of the ingredients you need for this delicious Grilled Chicken Marinade available already in your fridge. It’s a classic marinade recipe and, of course, the longer you marinate the chicken, the better the flavor and tenderness!!
Grilled Chicken Marinade Recipe
The Best Chicken Marinade
- 1/2 cup Italian Dressing
- 1/2 cup A1 Steak Sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp brown mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- Add all those items in a bowl, whisk together well, then place your chicken in there to marinate. This makes a great overnight chicken marinade, but if you don’t have that long, try to get it marinating at least 5-6 hours for best results. The chicken will be tender and so flavorful the longer it sits!
This recipe is super simple. Mix together Italian dressing, steak sauce (yes, steak sauce), soy sauce, garlic, mustard, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk together well and then place in a bowl or large plastic bag and add chicken. Let the chicken marinate well for 5-6 hours for best results, but at least one hour minimum before placing on the grill.
Once marinated, toss on the grill and enjoy with a salad or other side dish. This makes such a delicious, tender chicken and the combination of all the flavors really does make your standard chicken look pathetic next to the flavor that this marinade will bring out!!
